About

A non-profit association of Tripuri and Tiprasa youth.

Young Tripuri Association (YTA) brings together Tripuri and Tiprasa youth and students in Tripura and elsewhere in the country. It is a non-profit organization. Its work is community welfare, culture, education, and the defence of constitutional and indigenous rights through democratic means.

The association was established on 8th January, 2012, and that day is observed each year with cultural programmes and a community gathering. Members are asked to take part in service and meetings, to pay a nominal annual subscription, and to refuse discrimination by gender, sub-clan, economic status, or religion.

A constitutional solution for the Tipraland demand remains a founding aim: social, economic, political, and cultural self-determination for the indigenous people of Tripura, sought only through peaceful awareness, dialogue, and the Constitution. When indigenous or constitutional rights are breached, the association raises the matter democratically and, where needed, through the law.
